aleppo pepper!

first off:
yum yum yum yum yum!

aleppo pepper is my favorite cooking spice!

it has a delicious fruity/spicy-sweet taste that I use in place of other hot spices like red pepper flakes.

aleppo pepper is named after the Syrian city of the same, which is where these yummy peppers are native.

this pepper is grown in on a rather small farm and is grown & harvested without the use of chemicals. smaller farms have a had time getting the organic certification, but we know where our peppers come from and are comfortable and confidant in offering these beautiful peppers to you with a pure, organic conscience.

aleppo pepper is only moderately hot, with about a 3 on the heat scale.

they are versatile & forgiving—use them on/in anything from veggies, mashed potatoes, tofu, dressings, and bread & pastries (yes, yes!)

your aleppo pepper will come in a recycled 4oz glass jar that is 4" high and 1.75" wide with a metal lid.

each jar contains between 15—20 teaspoons of herb/spice depending on how fluffy it is.

•photos of jars with herbs in them may not be this herb. Photos are just to show you how your herb/spice will arrive—and each herb (as shown in kudzu root in jar photo) has its own description, how to use, and what it tastes yummy on.
