Absolutely amazing vintage 1930s evening gown and jacket set. Deep black rayon faille with horizontal trapunto quilting. Sweet short jacket with waist peplum, enormous puff sleeves with horizontal quilting, 3 button front and narrow shawl collar. Dress is simpler in silhouette with narrow straps, seamed under the bust line, button back, and long A line skirt with a heavier quilted hem. Condition: Good with wear. a few small holes and worn spots in the dress, if worn with a black slip it will not be noticeable. Dress set came to me with severe color fading, it was originally black but had faded. Dress has been re-dyed and buttons on the jacket have been replaced. Dress fabric body has scrapes and some 'pitting' to the fabric, I believe the deep black hides the flaws. Priced with these flaws in mind.
