Scene three in the Sisi series depicts the palpable feelings of lightness amongst the trading women in the local market scene as the stress of haggling prices and staying vigilant to ward off petty thieves dissipated as the day drew to a close. Volume III of this series embodies that feeling of lightness displayed on trader’s faces at the end of each trading day.
This print is a reproduction of an original Acrylic painting. It is Mach 3 in the Sisi Gorimampa series of paintings, of which there are ten total. The inspiration for this piece comes from my beautiful sisters who I grew up with as a youngster in Nigeria. In case you were wondering, here are their names (from left to right): Nkechi, Ebele, Obianju, Ngozichukwuka, and Obianamma. This print is made on Hahnemuhle PhotoRag Baryta Premium Luster Photo Paper and comes in three sizes. It lies somewhere in between a gloss and matte finish, providing you with highly saturated, maximum ink coverage. Luster paper is also resistant to fingerprints, making it a popular choice for photographic prints. Each print has a 0.5" border on each side of the paper to allow for easier matting.
Please note that this is a regular print that you will need to frame yourself. However, we also offer canvas wrap prints which are more expensive, but come ready to hang. Feel free to message me directly if you'd rather have those and thank you for stopping by our store.
Fun Fact: "Sisi Gorimampa" loosely translates from Yoruba to English as "Bald Sexy Woman". A fantastic way to beautify your living space.

I bought this originally as a gift for my dad, but I have naija nostalgia EVERYTIME I look at it so I’m keeping it for myself instead. Definitely getting another one for my daughter’s room. Beautiful work and amazing detail!

I don’t know where to start! Chuba is an amazing person who helped me with my order so much! From the first message he was always really fast to answer (regardless of the time difference)! I had issues with USPS and Chuba was always there, calling on my behalf, looking into different options, just trying to make sure that I get my gift! And the print... I did not expect it to be such a good quality! When you touch it it feels so expensive! I could not be happier and I will be shouting all over the social media about Chuba and his amazing team! I am so grateful for all your help! Wishing you a very merry Christmas and I hope new year brings you all the success you wish! Laura
