This 3D printed chainmail swatch is perfect for those who like to fidget. Forget fidget spinners - this flexible, flowing, bendy piece of "fabric" will keep your hands occupied for longer than a 60-second spin!

It is made from biodegradable PLA plastic, printed in one solid piece. But as you bend it, the whole swatch becomes flexible.

Swatch measures 4.5 inches x 4.5 inches. Order multiple squares to link together and make actual chainmail armour or other clothing pieces! Ask us for connecting links when purchasing more than one square.

3D printed items are not heat-resistant. Although PLA plastic can withstand temperatures up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 Celsius), it can become soft if put in dishwasher, hot water, or even left in a car on a warm day.

Wash 3D prints with a cloth of warm water and mild soap. Most prints are not water-tight.

If a part breaks, you can glue it back together with superglue, Loc-tite gel, epoxy, or any other glue safe for plastics.
3D printed items can be painted with acrylic paints or any other paints that are safe for plastic or PLA plastic. It is recommended that they are primed first. Use of model car paints or spray paint for plastics work well.

If you want to remove visible layer lines, you can sand prior to priming. If sanding removes the natural color from a print, it can sometimes be restored by rubbing olive oil on it. Note that most items are not completely solid and only have approximately a 1mm solid surface so be cautious to not sand down too many layers.
