Glass, Silver

Length: 1 3/4 Inches; Width: 1/2 Inches

Attention brides and bridesmaids!

I love scouring Etsy for lampwork artists, and am always picking up unique, handmade beads. Loving the irregular matte finish of real beach glass, I usually have to etch them to achieve the same effect. LOVE them! I etched the glass and surrounded the beads with fancy sterling bead caps and then suspended a hammered sterling round disc between the bead and the handforged earwires. These can be oxidized, of course, to bring out the lovely textures in the silver and really set off the large translucent beads. I thought these might be a pretty "something blue" for a bride in shiny silver, so I left them polished. I can make similar earrings to match for the bridal party and my turnaround time is about 2 weeks. I have a selection of colors and offer a 10% discount for orders of 3 or more of the same item. Please ask if you are interested. I love custom orders!

They measure Just over 1.75" long from the top of the earwires, and the hammered and domed discs are roughly 1/2" wide. The beads are 3/8" across. Perfect for everyday wear and dress up nicely, too!

All the metal is sterling silver, and almost every component was handmade by me from scratch in my home studio (except the beads, caps, and the wire).

These are the exact item pictured and are ready to ship in a classy gift box immediately!

See last photo for some other examples of these earrings, which may or may not still be available! Click here for more "sea glass" and Mermaid Lagoon series items, a favorite of mine:

An occasional soak in warm soapy water (yes, except for soft/porous stones like turquoise, they are safe for showering, too!) will keep your item looking new, as will daily wear, which inhibits tarnish. For orders $25+ I also include a small polishing cloth which can be used on dry pieces until it is completely black.

For shiny jewelry, I use a silver dip product for polishing. Just dip and then rinse in water. This will not remove black lettering.

If the text lightens (common inside of bracelets), fill in the letters with a Sharpie. Best hack ever! Wipe off the excess ink while it is still wet and sand off remaining residue to make the lettering pop again. I include sanding paper in every stamped bracelet order.
Exact wrist size is important for my bracelets! A 7-inch bracelet only works on a 6.75 inch wrist if it is chain. One with 1-inch beads that is 7" long may only fit a 5" wrist. So please send your exact wrist circumference if you are ordering a bracelet and want to love it a long time!
