Materials

silk chiffon, lace, silk, boning

Gorgeous antique 1900s 1910s cream silk chiffon and magenta silk Edwardian gown! The top is layered made up of a long sleeve cream silk chiffon bodice, followed by a sleeveless net under bust which is layered on the frontside with floral net lace. I love the wonderful gathering of the silk chiffon and how you catch glimpses of the floral net lace showing through the silk chiffon outer layer.

The skirt is vibrant and eye-catching from the gathered band of rich pinkish purple velvet to the gorgeous shade of magenta silk that makes up the fabulous pleated skirt with a 3/4 outer skirt that flanks the pleats and cascades down and around the front sides with button accents.

Not to be outdone by the front, the back has it's own dramatic flare as the magenta silk travels up the center back to a standing point at the nape with a fabric bow accent and three hidden wire supports to keep the upright shape.

The dress closes with eye/hooks down the center of silk chiffon bust and at the inner grosgrain waistband. 1 snap closure at the side of inner waistband along with 3 snaps on the left front side where the velvet meets the magenta silk and additional snaps down the front side of magenta skirt. The back of net bodice has shortened boning and there are two net 'straps' that come down the front bodice.
