Essential Oil from this tree, Hinoki, Japanese Cypress Essential Oil has many properties:
– It is well known to support the respiratory system and the skin. It is an effective decongestant. It is very good for bronchitis, asthma and respiratory congestion, because it has the ability to breakdown and purge heavy mucus from the body.
– It has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, and it is known to be a natural insecticide. The wood naturally deters insects and decay. It has been used traditionally for temples and shrines in Japan.
– Hinoki's woody aroma is relaxing yet uplifting. In Japan, it is valued as an oil of relaxation and is often placed in paths. It eases agitation and nervous tension in the mind and body; and promotes peace of mind.
We make this oil from forests that are continuously replanted to prevent the deforestation. These forests are located nearby in Kiso town and Ina Valley.
This essential oil blends well with other woody essential oils, citrus and mint. You can make your own blend and use it in the bath, soap and cosmetics!

I ordered this in April but didn't get it until June because of the pandemic but the seller was communicative and gave me updates. The smell is wonderful. I put a few drops in my humidifier and it smells like I am in a forest even though I am stuck in my apartment. Highly recommend this product!
