Dress is complete and ready to go!

Black satin bodice is lined in black satin as well, skirt is flocked taffeta and lined with a slight petticoat with black net ruffle at the bottom. Dress is shown with an extra one underneath for some extra oomph though not included. I do have them in my shop for sale separately.
Grosgrain ribbon bow is actually a pin I made so that you can take it off or stick it in your hair or at the waist. Button is vintage from my grams stash and it’s the only one I had left of that style. Needless to say, this is the only one of this exact color and fabric dress I’ll be making.

Dress is shown with first white chiffon covering my black form so the detail is better to see. Last photo is with chiffon off and pin off.

Dress will bit a bust of 35-36 inches around fullest part, depending on how snug you’d like it to fit. A waist of 28-29 (again, snugness factors in, or eating…I like eating quite a bit), and the length is 25.5 inches long from waist to hem.

I made this dress after drooling over page upon page of a 1960 Spiegel catalog and wishing dresses were still only $3.56.
