This sampler, made in 1989, is a copy of a pattern made in the 1700s. It has been beautifully stitched and framed in an old distressed frame. On the back, there is a write up about the pattern and the stitches used to complete it. I recently purchased this lovely piece of history at an estate sale.

The measurement of the frame is 14 and 1/2 by 12 and 1/4 inches. It is 1 inch wide.

The stitches are bright with no snags or stains. Many colors were used to stitch this lovely sampler.

The back looks as though it were professionally framed. However, there is no glass.

A pretty sampler like this always looks perfect in a farmhouse or Colonial home.
