Description

Our first listing for this special edition Brigid sold out in two hours and all our pre-orders sold out quickly too. We’ve decided to continue having her available during February (it is her month, after all!).

Listen.
I tell of prayers strung
through oak leaves
Deep wells
Emerald fields
Hot coals
I know the courage it takes
To tend the flame
Of ancient mystery

A special edition Brigid Story Goddess in honor of Imbolc, this handmade figurine is colored in our new Imbolc Magic pigment blend. She carries the energy of Brigid, the Irish Goddess and Saint associated with metalwork, midwifery, and poetry. She is cast in resin and colored a specially hand blended translucent red mica pigment as well as flakes of opalescent color to represent the embers of her forge. Since the pigment is blended at home, small variations in color/tone/translucency are to be expected. Photos show some of the variation. It also looks different in different lighting. Her silver-tone belt carries a moss agate gemstone bead, which is associated with healing and is known as the stone of Druids, and a wooden Brigid’s Cross (knot), cut at home by us with our laser. Do note that the wooden Brigid’s Cross is fairly delicate and if the goddess is dropped, it may chip a little or even break. The goddess herself is quite sturdy and can get wet or be dropped without being damaged. The belt is removable and can be interchanged with any of the other belts in our Story Goddess collection.

This goddess is meant to be a companion goddess, to travel with you, to share your experiences and stories, and to bless your space--your desk, your office, your pocket, with her power and essence. She is about four inches tall.

Notes:

Each figure is handmade and has small imperfections due to handcrafting such as trim marks, seams, fingerprints, or bubbles that make them unique. While the pigments we use are UV resistant and color-safe, like with any material, there is a chance of discoloration or pigment change if left exposed to direct sunlight for long periods.

Sculptures are each finished for you when you order and demand is high. We usually ship within 2-3 days of order, but may occasionally need 5 days before shipping.

FAQs

As each of our items is handmade, we do not accept wholesale orders at this time.

Depending on our current order volume, we will occasionally be able to offer a one-time small quantity discount for a women's circle, retreat, or event.
We happily accept customization requests in terms of color and charm. We do not do custom sculpts or size alterations.
We receive a high number of conversations (convos) and I reply to them in "batches" according to my available time. Please allow at least 24-36 hours for a reply to your convo. I don't always answer at night or on weekends, as a person (this person anyway!) needs a little bit of down time. :)
Our usual shipping days are T, W, F, and S. We have a high order volume (thanks to all you awesome people!) and since our items are all handmade we often finish items as the orders are received. We strive to ship within 3 days of order date, but during busy seasons, it may be 5-7 days before your order ships, so please keep this in mind when placing orders. Orders are fulfilled both in order of date received AND in complexity (i.e. a small, simple order will ship much more quickly than an order of ten pieces). We are unable to promise delivery by a specific day, since after the item leaves our hands, it is up to the postal service when it actually arrives! If you need fast(er) shipping, make sure to choose Priority Mail at checkout.
