This etching has been made on a copper plate as a mirror image and printed by means of an etching press using a process that has changed little since Rembrandt’s day 400 years ago. This etching has also been treated with an aquatint which gives the etching an extra special effect seen towards the lower half of the design. Every etching is inked by hand and is thus a unique and original artwork.

It has been printed on Somerset Velvet handmade paper from St Cuthbert’s Mill in the UK using high quality professional etching ink. The paper has a soft cream color.

The etching measures 9 x 6 cm (3.5” x 2.4”) and comes with a mat (mount) that's the same color as the paper measuring 13 x 18 cm (5" x 7").

This etching has an edition of 45 and is signed and numbered. A leaflet will also be enclosed explaining how the etching was made.
