Description

Look! A beautiful Coro 1953 gold toned Rhinestone choker necklace. The patent 168560 was filed in 1952 by jeweler and designer Adolph Katz.

http://www.jewelrypatents.com/coro5.html

This sparkly well made choker necklace is a short 15". The choker/necklace is signed Coro in cursive on the fold over type clasp.

The centerpiece is approx. 3 1/2" x 1 1/2". The center piece is a lovely rhinestone covered scroll shape or swirl with a hinge that joins it in the middle. My guess is so that it lays nice across the collar bones.
The bottom of the scroll or swirl which meets in the middle is edged with a pretty row of rhinestone flowers.

The beautiful center piece of this necklace is attached to a splendid gold toned chain that looks like connected squares with the connections hidden inside the links. It looks shiny and very smooth and in fabulous shape. It is NOT adjustable unless you attach an extender.

Most of the wear is with a little bit of the silver tone that is underneath the gold tone showing through the gold tone plate a little. There is a little on the ends of the center piece on the links that join it to the chain but not with breaks in the finish. You only see it if you look close.

The centerpiece probably has most of the original clear rhinestones. Two rhinestones on the flowers could have been replaced or glued back in but again you have to have eagle eyes to see the difference. The back of the centerpiece shows only a tiny bit of wear also. The chain looks perfect.

Please enlarge pictures to see the Coro signature on the clasp and to look at the rhinestones up close. I am sure you will be pleased.

***Note I haven't had to glue any of these rhinestones. I will check for missing stones before I ship. Should you get this open box carefully and check to see if a stone is loose in the little box it comes in. Use E6000, or a little crazy glue to stick back in.
