Beautiful nickel plated brass wheel and shaft with attached gears.
This is a wonderful industrial found object.
And early piece of machinery
that's a sculpture in itself.

This machine part dates to the early part of the 20th century.
I'm not sure what it was used for.
I found it in a loft I lived in that manufactured coin counting machines
in that era.

This beautiful cast brass wheel is plated in nickel.
You can see a bit of the brass showing through on the back.
A threaded hole on one side once held a... dial, handle?
The back has a long shaft with two notched gears.
This back shaft has rust.

The wheel is 5" wide and 3/8" deep.
The wheel and shaft is 5" long.

Perfect for use in Steampunk, assemblage, sculpture and mixed media projects.

Wonderful vintage condition with obvious evidence of age, wear, rust and original grim.
