Kodak lovers, you’re going to want this beautiful pristine folding camera in your collection! It is in wonderful cosmetic condition, and looks barely used for its age! Create stunning images and when it’s not in use, its simple vintage design will make for a stunning piece of decor for a shelf, mantel, or your desk!

FILM: 616 Roll Film

HISTORY & FEATURES: When it was introduced, the Kodak Jiffy Six 20 was marketed by Eastman Kodak as the simplest, most user-friendly folding camera ever made. Up until that point, most folding cameras were of the same basic design. They were relatively difficult to handle, complex, and required users to manually unfold the camera and extend the lens in order to take photos. In the spirit of simplicity, the Jiffy boasts a simple two button operation. The first small metal button can be found on the film advance knob’s side of the camera and releases the front plate, causing the metal struts on either side to snap into place and automatically extend the lens. The second button is the shutter lever which can be found on the side of the front plate once extended.

The Jiffy’s Twindar 105mm f/8 lens has two focus zones: 5-10 feet and 10 feet to infinity which can be selected by rotating the lens. Three aperture settings: f/8, f/11, and f/16 are also available and can be changed by pulling or pushing a metal tab on the side of the lens plate. There are only two shutter speeds: I for “Instant” (approximately 1/50 seconds) and T for “Time” (first shutter press opens the the shutter, second shutter press closes it). Like many cameras of the era, the Kodak Jiffy has two waist-level viewfinders: one for portrait and the other for landscape. There is also a kickstand that folds out from behind the lens plate which allows the camera to stand on its own. Unfortunately, the kickstand’s usefulness appears to be limited as the camera does not accept any kind of shutter release cable.

FUN FACT: This same model was also available with an art deco front face design.

CONDITION: The bellows on this camera has no holes or signs of chipping and appears to be light tight. The lens and viewfinders are in good condition, with some internal dust debris. This should not affect image quality. The shutter and aperture are in working order. Shutter speeds seem accurate. Camera functionality and shutter speeds have been tested to the best of our ability, as we do not have the film for testing. This item has been FULLY TESTED and is guaranteed to work.

DIMENSIONS: 6.5” x 3.25” x 1.5” (folded); 6.5” x 3.25” x 4.5” (unfolded)

This little camera is amazing! Mom had a vintage Ansco box camera and my small collection began with hers. Seller packaged with camera in its pristine leather case along with its flash outfit as well as original booklet, all bubble wrapped within its leatherette original sales case which was, too, packaged in bubble wrap and in exactly the right sized shipping box so it could not move! The camera itself is unique as described and as I researched a rare find and is of a great material and color! It is unique and a great addition to my collection! I am thrilled to have it now!

I was disappointed after receiving this item b/c there were some dust smears visible through the viewfinder. This is the camera I used to learn photography. It was Nikon's beginner's SLR sold '82-'86. I tested this with 6 different film types noting the camera functioned well and smudging did not impact the images. my old one went out. I used it pretty heavy 2 years. Sparingly after. Stopped taking a battery charge. This is not the Nikon that lasts a lifetime and does not approach the quality of intermediate Nikons at the time and was priced about $150 in '84. Good: it is very light & compact. Has programmed, AP & manual modes. I bought this to replace an old gift. Bad: It is full of plastic parts and potential problems that won't be worth fixing. It's a learner and is good for that but don't expect years of continual use.

As described, works well. My first roll came out so nicely! Had no problems with the camera, but learning how to use older cameras has a learning curve.
