Montessori Grammar Materials are a lovely and hands-on way to teach grammar to children, ages 6-12. They are also excellent for those learning English as a second language. You and your children will be enchanted by the colors and quality found in this set.

The complete set of materials includes:

1. Organic cotton Filling Envelopes to keep your grammar cards organized and ready to use!

2. Grammar Mats to sort the parts of speech cards.

3. Organic, wool felt Command Envelopes. These hold commands (actions) for your children to use to further cement the concepts of the different parts of speech.

4. Printed, ready-to-cut Grammar Card Material. This will arrive printed on a coated, medium-weight (100# glossy text) paper, professionally printed and shrink wrapped. It will be uncut. The Card Material includes instructions for using this Complete Grammar Set. (Choose from the drop down menu to order with or without the printed material—you may wish to order without if you plan to buy the pdf.)

5. Complementary pdf of card materials for reprinting as needed.

6. Optional organic canvas bins for displaying the card envelopes on your shelf.

Measurements and details:

Each Filling Box Envelope pocket is 2.5”W X 6.5” H. If you purchase a card set other than mine, I can not guarantee that your cards will fit. The binding is stitched with the same color as the embroidered number and coordinating cotton inside. These colors match the traditional Montessori grammar colors.

The Grammar Box Sorting Mats are made with organic cotton and sewn to create lovely, durable work surfaces for your child. I used the traditional colors associated with the elementary grammar parts of speech (differ from the primary level colors). These mats vary in size but each part of speech square is 2.25W X 2.75"H (5.5X7cm).

Organic wool Grammar Box Command Envelopes mimic the traditional open-topped command boxes. They are 6”x 2.75”. There is not traditionally a command box for interjections, but I created command cards for this set in my version, so you'll find the blue envelope included in my set. However, if you purchase your card materials elsewhere, you'll need to write your own interjections for this envelope.

My version of the card material is abridged and updated for homeschool and small classroom environments with more modern language. Though set is not exhaustive, you’ll find blank, colored forms included for the children to create their own additional cards to best accompany your learning space.

The cards for the Command Box Envelopes are actions for the students to do to get an even more concrete understanding of the parts of speech.
