A very large, homey, Munising wood bowl from the 1940's. Munising bowls hail from their namesake town, nestled on the South Bay of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The famous woodworks ran from 1911 to 1960. These were created from the woods of the area. This one is of Maple. It is "out of round"(not perfectly round), which is normal for hand made, hand turned wood bowls. It has three wooden feet, and is very simple, yet graceful. I love the warm wood grain. This would be a wonderful bowl for a farmhouse table, large for plenty of fruit or whatever you wish.
