Description

This very unique Kramer of New York brooch portrays a highly stylized floral bloom in a gold-toned metal.

The piece consists of four rounded heart-shaped sections attached to a curved stem, resulting in a shape similar to a pansy or a four-leaf clover. Resting on each heart shape is a lightly textured leaf. Four additional small leaves separate each heart shaped piece from one another. At the center of the flower is a faux pearl resting in a multi-pronged setting.

This rare brooch has the marking of KRAMER underneath the copyright symbol. This marking dates the creation of the piece to sometime between 1955 and c.1980, when Kramer ceased operations. The design dates this piece to the mid to late 1960s.

The measurements of this brooch (when worn with the back pin vertical) are 1.5 inches wide by 1.75 inches tall.

There are small areas of wear on the underside and sides of the brooch where the gold-tone has worn away. The clasp-pin is very slightly bent, but still fastens well. Please see the photos for these areas. Other than these age appropriate signs of wear, this brooch is in very good condition.

Additional policies

All of the vintage items for sale on this site are of course used, and their condition is noted in the description. If you have any questions about any of the vintage items, please contact me prior to purchase. Vintage items cannot be repaired by me once they are sold. As all of the vintage items are unique and irreplaceable, they cannot be returned if they are damaged after they have been delivered. However, the refund policy listed above does of course apply to them, with the aforementioned exceptions.

All of the handmade items in the shop are fully guaranteed. Should any item need repair, please contact me and I will gladly repair it, or if repair is impossible, provide you with a replacement. The handmade items are built to last, and in the case of the cat-toys, are made to withstand the worst an 18lb Maine Coon can throw at them.

Custom orders are possible. I primarily do needlepoint, with a focus on traditional designs.

Some handmade items are meant to be personalized. The degree of personalization possible is detailed in their listing. If you would like one of these items personalized, please contact me before or after purchase. Since they are personalized, shipping may be delayed by a reasonable period of time. Personalized items can be repaired or replaced as needed, but absent of product defect, cannot usually be returned.
