Vintage 1987 Strohs Beer poster. This poster features Alex the dog and is printed "Lock-up your Strohs Alex is back".
This poster measures about 18" wide and 26" long. The bottom of the poster is printed with "80995 1987 THE STROH BREWERY COMPANY, DETROIT, MI. 48226.

Alex was a Golden Retriever - Irish Setter mix that was used in the Strohs ad campaign from 1984-1989. His real name was "Banjo".

Alex inspired toys, posters, cologne and hand lotion. He was referenced in "Funky Cold Medina" by Tone Loc.
