Susi-ilta is Finnish for 'wolf-night'.

A witch's ladder historically is a braided or knotted cord (that may include feathers, hair, or other objects) that contains a spell, most commonly a curse. These had nine knots, and the intention of the spell was bound into the cord with each knot.

This is not one of those.

Some witch's ladders are instead 40 knots, or beads, and are used as strings of prayer beads, or a rosary - a tool for the repetition of spells, chants, etc. without conscious counting.

This is not one of those, either.

This witch's ladder is similar to a string of prayer beads, but intended as a tool to transition consciousness. One begins at one end, the anchor, and moves through a repetition of spell, chant, prayer, etc. until one reaches the "loop" (which in this case is an actual loop) and enters the spirit world, or other intended destination.

Susi-ilta features a 1" pewter runetile (Uruz, for strength), and a pewter wolf charm. The loop features a 14mm flat coin bead of larkivite, symbolizing the moon. The strand is formed from 18mm grey glass barrels, 2mm white antique glass rounds, and 2mm silver freshwater pearls.

Larkivite is said to enhance psychic viewing and communications, as well as aiding our connection to nature spirits. Freshwater pearls are associated with truth, loyalty, fidelity, fertility, and feminine energy.

11" long.
