The knit scarf or hooded scarf pattern has both written instructions and charts to follow. The pattern also explains how this scarf can be made into a hooded scarf.

I love Pine trees and pine cones and made this scarf to commemorate that love. This scarf is warm a will protect your head against harsh weather just as pine trees protect the animals huddled in their branches against the same.

Contact information is on pattern if you have any problems, feedback or just want to show me how beautiful it looks.

You will need:

436 yarns of DK weight yarn. You could use Worsted Weight but that will make it a little larger.

1 pair size 5 US (3.75mm) sharp pointed knitting needles or needle size needed to get the guage.

Tapestry needle for finishing scoodie.

Finished Size: 10 1/2 inches (27 cm) wide by 80 inches (203 cm) long

Working Gauge: 9 stitches = 2 inches (5 cm), 14 rows = 2 inches (5 cm)

Skill Level: Intermediate. This pattern is easy and works up fairly quickly once the lace pattern is started. It is made in two halfs and then knitted together using the Kitchener. There are some excellent YouTube tutorials for this stitch for anyone who is not familiar with this stitch.

If you are purchasing one of a kind hand knits using luxury wools like Merino wool, silk, angora etc., extra care needs to be taken in washing. As with all fine garments the item should be hand washed in cold water with a mild soap. Squeeze excess water out in a towel without wringing or scrubbing. Lay flat to dry.
