Sparkle sock Blank - Spring Air- 4 of a kind

Spring air has stripes of gold, pink blue and purple. The top has large dots of bright pink and stylized green "splats" in places. 4 of a kind and not repeatable.

This is for a single strand blank for one at a time sock knitting. The two socks will not match.

The yarn in the sparkle sock blank has a small silver fiber called Stellina. Due to my poor photography skills it is hard to see in the picture but will be easy to see once you look at the sock blank in person. Starlight Star Bright is mostly white with stenciled stars in bright yellow,pink,turquoise and purple.

WHAT THE HECK IS A SOCK BLANK?
Basically, a sock blank is a skein of white, undyed yarn that has been machine knitted into a 10 by 42 inch rectangle for the dyer (me). This makes dyeing long sections of the yarn possible without using a warping board. Each long stripe dyed on the knitted material correlates to a long length of dyed yarn when it is unwound.

I have added my own unique take on these sock blank by dyeing the stripes first and then stenciling on patterns and/or words on the top with thickened dyes. Of course, the readable pattern becomes lost as you knit the blank but the knitter will always know. :>)

When you go to knit with it, simply unravel the blank from the right end (the wrong end will lock stitch on the sides) and cast on. There will be a little kink but it isn’t too bad while you are knitting and will disappear when you block the sock.

PLEASE BE AWARE that you can only knit one sock at a time and the socks will probably not match up in the color placement so if you are a “Matchy-Matchy” sock type knitter, this might throw you off. You will have better luck matching two socks if you buy one of the Double Secret Sock blanks listed on my site. :>)
