Shadow Drawing

Yes, it is photography, but it is made without a camera.

In the very basic principle, it is the record (capturing) the shadows cast by objects.
This ancient photographic technique is cold Photogram: print is made by lying objects directly onto the surface of light-sensitive material (photo paper) and then exposing it to light from photo enlarger (cine projector). The usual result is a negative shadow image that shows variations in tone that depends upon the transparency of the objects used. Areas of the paper that have received no light appear white; those exposed for a shorter time or through transparent or semi-transparent objects appear grey, while fully exposed areas are black in the final print.

Some famous artist e.g. Man Ray used this technique.
