Say bon-voyage to single use beverage cups with my eco-friendly stoneware travel mug.

This handmade stoneware travel mug is thrown on my potter's wheel. Made from stoneware clay it is strong and durable. When the mug is partially dried the base is fettled and my potter’s mark added. Once bone dry it is fired to 1060 degrees centigrade. I decorate the mug with a speckle white ‘Seas Salt’ glaze and warm matt grey glaze - on the outside and glossy transparent on the inside. It is high fired to 1222 degrees centigrade.

The mug comes with pink or grey silicon lid and removable grey sleeve. Choose your size and lid colour, when placing your order.

Cup Dimensions (all measurements are approx):
Volume:
Flat White: 225 - 250ml, 7.9 - 8.7 floz
Latte: 270 - 300ml, 9.2 - 10.5 floz
Sleeves: 2.3cm wide

The mug fits in a standard size car mug holder.

Made with lead free glazes.
Dinnerware safe.
Dishwasher safe but it's kinder to the glaze to hand wash.

By the very nature of handmade each mug is unique, the mug you receive may vary slightly from the pictures. Every batch is slightly different so please ensure you read the dimensions before ordering.

FAQs

Hand Wash verses Dishwasher
Hand washing is always kinder to hand made ceramics as the chemicals in dishwashers can be very harsh. My pottery is high fired meaning that it will most likely be fine in the dishwasher (I put my pottery in the dishwasher at home) however as I am a small maker I can not test my pottery in a range of dishwashers so I advise to hand wash if at all possible or alternate between the dishwasher and hand washing.

Microwaves
My pottery is high fired so will most probably be fine in the microwave however I am not able to test a range of microwaves so just to be on the safe side I advise to avoid using them in the microwave.

Oven Use
Alway heat food in ceramics from a cold oven.
I try to minimise my impact on the planet. As much as possible I use recycled cardboard boxes when shipping. I reuse bubble wrap and keep it's useage to a minimum whilst still keeping your order safe. I am currently looking into bio bubble wrap. I always use bio degradable packaging peanuts made from corn never plastic. Please try and reuse the packaging your ceramics come in, recycle it or compost it carefully.

I happily offer a gift wrap service. Please add the 'Gift Wrap' listing to your basket and checkout at the same time as your purchase.

Please add any message you would like in the card in the buyers notes section.
I have spent a lot of time testing packaging to ensure your pottery gets to you in pristine condition. I carefully package every piece myself before it is shipped. I use bubble wrap, tissue paper and biodegradable packaging peanuts. I double box items where possible.

Whilst every care is taken to get your pottery to you within the estimated time frame, I can not be held responsible for delays with postal services or customs. If in the unlikely event your item does not arrive or arrives damaged please contact me before leaving a review- in the first instance I will replace the item or if that’s not possible I will issue a refund.

I am a small maker and sometimes mistakes happen- I will do everything I can to make things right.
Ceramics are heavy items and need to be packed carefully to keep them safe in transit. I try very hard to keep shipping prices to a minimum. I will only charge what it costs me to ship items plus a small amount for the packaging- I do not make any profit on postage.
