Fun notes from the shop keepers:

*This classic dress is perfect for picnics, walks, downtown shopping, visiting, summer dates, countryside road-trips, and 'most anything else during the spring or summer. It's very versatile. It reminds us of dresses in the WWII era musical "State Fair!" and
watermelon, ice-cream, Judy Garland, and summer picnics on the farm.

*This dress, as with most made of cotton, is best with a full slip worn underneath. We don't have WWII slip reproductions in the shop yet, but we plan to one day! The floral pattern of the cloth helps hide wrinkles when traveling!

*This style of dress is named after one of our favorite scenes in "Casablanca" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTsg9i6lvqU

*The lovely shoes above are the "Marilyn" style from Royal Vintage Shoes in Red. Highly recommended reproductions and great quality shoes that we've worn on the streets and to dances.

*We both own and love a dress made from this '44 pattern. They've served us well at reenactments for several years now, including for days on the streets, nights at the movies, dinner, WWII motorcycle riding, and impromptu swing dancing. We've worn them to historic parades and to Honor Flights and have had the sweetest conversations with elderly ladies who gathered 'round us to chat about 40's fashion. One remembered sewing a dress just like this during the war off of the same pattern...

Please send us a message if you have any questions, we'd be delighted to help!!!
