A GREAT way to have fun on the GSU campus - a GREAT gift to give for the GSU student in your life!
Looking for some unique and creative fun on the GSU campus? How about helping Interpol solve some ancient art theft crimes!
The Great University Adventure Challenge at GSU was designed by a professional treasure hunt adventure designer is a great way to have fun while discovering the GSU campus! There is NOTHING to set up! ALL the materials arrive via US postal service in a fun wrapped package - unwrap it while on campus and YOU’RE OFF! Because you don’t have to spend countless hours creating it, YOU get to enjoy it WITH your friends!
So...how does it work? In simplest terms, it’s an elaborate scavenger hunt mixed with a treasure hunt…on steroids. You begin with a list of EIGHT different missions to take on at the GSU campus - you'll need to find specific things as well as complete fun tasks in order to successfully complete each mission. Each completed mission will earn you points toward an overall ranking...
THAT’S JUST THE BEGINNING!
By completing a mission, you earn the right to open one of the eight different bonus envelopes. Inside each are clues to solve six different puzzles. You see, Interpol needs your help. Six different priceless artifacts have been stolen from museums all over the globe. The more missions you complete, the more you'll be able to help Interpol solve their cases...and helping you to rack up a LOT of bonus points in the process!!!
How well can you use an old map of ancient Egypt to find track down the thieves who stole the golden statue of Ra? The facts will really get you mixed up when trying to find the lost tablet of Xerxes...and don't even get us started on the the bronze vessel of Qin Shi Huang!
How long does it last? As long as you’d like. Start when you like. Stop when you like. Give yourself a day to complete everything...or see how much you can do in a couple of hours. Order a few packages and challenge your friends to a friendly competition - highest score at the end wins! Also GREAT for academic department team building activities!
Please note - This is also not a ‘standard treasure hunt.’ By this we mean that this is NOT a linear activity. There is no particular starting and ending location. YOU get to choose where to go, what tasks to complete and in what order. This flexibility was intentionally built into the design so that you inclement weather or construction won't slow down the fun!
PLEASE NOTE: The Great Adventure Challenge is the SAME challenge for each university we offer the challenge for. Of course, changes have been made that are university/college specific, the activities and tasks are all similar or identical. Looking for another, different adventure? Come back soon when we reveal our new park adventure, The Great Time Machine Challenge!
ABOUT THE DESIGNER
My name is Joe Dean and I’ve been professionally designing large scale and elaborate treasure hunt adventures for nearly 30 years involving actors and stage sets in an effort to recreate different periods of history and fantasy - often combined. I’ve entertained clients in both the private and corporate sectors with clients such as Sams Club and the Orange County Department of Mental Health (annual fundraiser.)
As part of my adventure hunt design company, I've had another labor of love...antiquing paper. I've made literally 1,000's of maps and clues over the years and developing a paper aging process became crucial (and something that I grew to love.) It's a four step process and was used to antique the maps in the adventure challengePLEASE NOTE FOR ALL PHYSICAL ITEMS SHIPPED THIS HOLIDAY SEASON (this does not apply to our digital items such as Bingo sets, etc.) - We are committed to honoring our posted processing times, even during the very busy holiday time (Nov-Dec.) Please understand that we promise to get your order out the door asap, but as such as cannot honor any requests for "rush jobs." As far as we are concerned, EVERY order is a rush job at this time of year :). Also, please note that we cannot be responsible for the USPS shipping schedule or delivery times. You have our promise that we will make sure your order gets to the post office as soon as possible...but after that, it's up to the USPS to take it from there. Please consider this as we cannot honor refunds for late arrived packages as our materials cannot be returned (especially in the current health climate.) Thanks everyone - and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
