This River Cane basket was the collaborative work of 5 uwoduhi (beautiful) Tsalagi (Cherokee) women. From the cutting of the river cane, to the stripping and dyeing to the actual weaving, this process was a prayerful and wonderful experience. When we work together toward a common goal, it is amazing what we can achieve. May this image remind you of the possibilities we can enjoy if, along the path, we seek to share our gifts and work together.

Proceeds from the sale of this image and Emma's Hand's will be used to support the Cherokee Language Program.
