Cherokee Purple Tomato - Solanum lycopersicum

80 days to maturity. Tomato grown by the Cherokee nation. Beefsteak style, 12-16 oz. fruit, red hue w/ green shoulders, sweet & smoky flavor. Indeterminate vines.

Start indoors 3-4 weeks before last frost 1/4" deep. Transplant out 24" apart in full sun. Provide support by staking. 80 days to maturity.

Seeds are hand packaged in a resealable paper envelope.

Minimum 20 seeds per packet.

Packed for 2015

Note for Zone 9a: I've had great success with these tomatoes as a fall crop in Northwest Florida. Start seeds the first week in July and be sure to protect from full sun. Transplant out in late August. Be sure to keep them watered on really hot days. As the weather starts to cool, they begin to put on lots of fruit. Be sure to protect from frost if they are still fruiting by mid-November. I'm still harvesting full size Cherokee's in mid-December. These are my best selling tomatoes.
