There is something about having a reminder of such a kind, honorable image as one giving reverence to the Buddha. This small shrine in the soft colors of white and light blue do just that. The vintage picture is of a young woman gently in reverence in front of a small Buddhist statue. It is softly stirring. It is a quiet moment of replentitude. In the bottom of the shrine are placed small light blue glass flattened stones. On the sides are mirror tiles to offer more of a reflective tone to the overall piece. The photograph is printed on highgloss paper. A velvet white ribbon adorns the front of the white painted front, like a temple curtain. A small silver painted Buddhist statue sits atop the blue glass stone floor for your own contemplation and reverence. This is a up-cycled Altoids can, painted and gessoed. I always leave the expiration date of the can showing on the side. I do this because I think of it as a special date for the buyer of the piece. Whether it be a future date or a date in the past: it is for the buyer auspicious. This piece has a very vintage and feminine vibe. Thanks for looking.
