Ouilt heart made from a vintage log cabin quilt

I made this charming and primitive heart from a hand stitched, hand quilted circa 1930-1940's Appalachian quilt. The fabrics are a mix of old feed sacks and vintage cotton prints that have faded to wonderful soft hues. The quilt was frayed and had several areas with batting peeking through. I salvaged the most viable areas and backed the heart with sturdy, natural muslin. The heart is filled with polyester fiberfill. I attached a red organza ribbon for hanging. This heart is so soft and has that well worn comfortable feeling. The heart would look great hanging on a cupboard, a door, or sitting on a shelf. Could also use as a pin cushion or sit on your dresser for broaches. Enjoy!

Dimensions: 6 inches across at widest point and 6.5 inches in length.

Condition: Very old with fragile seams. Surprisingly good condition.

Other quilt hears are listed individually.
