Description

Moroccan rug/ Tribal rug/kilim rug/Berber rug/ wall hanging/ royal blue / geometric pattern/ bright color/

This rug can be used on either side. It is in great condition with no noticeable holes or stains; a few thread pulls, but that is to be expected in a rug this old. Has no pile, so not too heavy for a wall hanging and light enough to carry outside for a good shake when dirty.

These rugs are traditionally hand woven by women in Morocco. Each one tells a tale and is completely unique. Material: 100% Handspun wool and therefore very valuable. This rug will instantly add warmth and color to any room. Great under a dining room table! Due to the hand made nature of this rug, the shape is not perfect, but it is close. Approx 8'6" x 4'11-5 ".

Zaiane: central patterning with medallion/zig-zag banded patterning separated by plain narrow stripes/ tribal designs characteristic/ weft faced patterning & plainweave. reds, blues, whites. Can be similar to Zemmour designs.

These rugs were purchased as vintage & antique rugs on a trip to Morocco in the 1970's. I have an appraisal from Arthur T. Gregorian for $900.

I have captured the colors as accurately as I could, but please keep in mind the colors on your monitor may differ slightly from the actual rug.
