Tool Magic is a fantastic product for jewelry designers who work with filigrees, ornaments and sensitive metals with a patina. Tool Magic puts a temporary protective coating on your metal tools while you bend and work with your metal components and findings. Coat rosary pliers, chain nose pliers, filigree/bailmaking pliers, and more.

Tool Magic is perfect for your intricate work that might be too detailed for nylon pliers.
What we have done is buy spares of our tools so that we have coated tools and un-coated tools. That way we can use, say, rosary pliers at a moment's notice and not worry that they've been coated with Tool Magic and aren't dry yet.

Your jar of Tool Magic will be brand new: factory packaged and unopened.

Directions:

* Protect the surface you are doing your dipping and drying on.

* Dip your pliers to cover all or most of the working part of your tool. Stand them up to dry. Give them a whole day at least to make sure that they are properly dry. I have used the top of a DVD spindle to dry mine.

* Carefully bend your item, whether it's wire, filigree, large jump ring, ornament or a connector. The Tool Magic coating will prevent metal-to-metal contact and scarring of patinaed items.

* The longevity of your coating of Tool Magic depends upon what you're bending and how much force you exert. The filigree-bending/bail-making pliers you see here were coated months ago and I've used them multiple times.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD VENTILLATION and fresh air while using Tool Magic. If you have MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) you might not want to use this product or have someone else do the coating for you, as once it's completely dry it doesn't smell much if at all.
