Found some orphan blocks in my fabric stash and decided to make some Mug Rugs! This set of Mug Rugs consist of Amy Butler blocks and strip pieced blocks leftover from my 3D Passion Quilt, and is backed and bound with a delicious green and chocolate fabric from Marcus Fabrics.

Whether enjoying a morning cup of coffee and some biscuits or afternoon tea with some sweets, these are the perfect size to accomodate your mug and dish while protecting your table. The finished Mug Rugs measure 7.25" x 10.5" and both sides are pretty to use.

A middle layer of Warm & White 100% cotton batting was used; machine-quilted every 3/8" using Superior's King Tut thread in Angel Green giving the top stitching just a hint of color and a celery green thread used on the back blended so well, it just seems to melt right in to the fabric.

Don't be afraid to get these pretty little things dirty, they wash up nicely! I recommend cold or warm water wash, line dry or lay flat. If you choose to throw them in the dryer, steam press to recrispen.

All of my items come ready to use from a smoke-free home.

Mahalo nui loa (thanks so much) for visiting!
