Linocutting is a printmaking process involving carving areas of linoleum away as one layers ink creating a textured, rich artwork. By the time a linocut piece is completed, my art corner is a cluttered mess, but the beauty of the process is always worth it. This is one of a series of linocuts I did of pears. I did three separate color schemes while working on the prints. This scheme utilizes cool colors against warm neutrals. The linocut is 5 by 7 inches, printed on high-quality, heavy paper, and is done entirely by hand. If you like this piece, check out the other color schemes!
