Spring hasn't officially arrived...and technically, we're still in the middle of winter, but this is the turning point, where ideas and dreams move into spring. I've begun a new series of meditation drawings as I contemplate growth and renewal. I know these are about spring, because color is coming back into the work!

Spare and deliate, the meditation drawings are made by letting my hand move across the page...making the marks that want to be made...thinking only through my hands. Color is added in the same way with water soluble crayons...a sense of play and the joy of making are the essence of these meditation drawings. Meditations on spring.

This drawing on Japanese paper is made with pencil and water soluble crayons and then dipped in beeswax. The piece measures approximately 7 1/4"h x 5 1/2"w and will come to you carefully wrapped and ready for you to frame or display as you desire!

Thanks so much for browsing MissouriBendStudio...enjoy!
