Two unusual booklets from the Home Economics Department of the Pet Milk Co. Arcade Building, St. Louis 1, Missouri. The font and text of these books is in a style very similar to that seen in the Mary Lee Taylor books from PET, but the covers are odd in that they have two holes punched in each and the booklets are held together with old fashioned paper fasteners. The covers are like a heavy card stock. There are no illustrations other than those on the covers.

I'm not sure what to make of these, perhaps they were used in a home economics classroom setting? They are undated, but appear to be possibly from the 40's judging from the one digit zipcode, the cover art, and the similarities of the text to other PET 1940s-50's advertising cookbooks.

Undated softcover with fasterners each measuring 8 x 6 inches. The Pies book has 31 pages and the Ice Cream book has 35 pages.

The Pies booklet is in good overall condition with some wear to the cover and "spine" area. The Ice Cream booklet is in fair minus overall condition with missing pieces of the front cover, writing and wear to the front cover which is also loose from the uppermost fastener. There is a slit at the bottom fastener on the bottom back cover. Both books have soiled covers and tanning pages.
