Ornate silverplate sugar spoon souvenir of Washington D.C., by Wallingford Silver Co.
The front handle of the highly detailed spoon features:
An eagle and shield
"WASHINGTON"
George Washington
"District of Columbia"
Lady Justice holding a sword and book titled "CONSTITUTION"
"JUSTITIA OMNIBUS" (definition: Justice for All)
An ax/hatchet and tree stump

On the back:
The Capitol
Library of Congress
Mount Vernon
The White House
The Washington Monument

Also marked on the back: WALLINGFORD CO.

Measures approximately 6" long.
In vintage condition, the design and handle are in good condition, the spoon shows regular age wear, and has a small spot of plate loss in the bowl of the spoon. Minor wear to the underside as well.
Similar to some of the spoons featured in Martha Stewart Magazine, February 2010 issue, "A Spoonful of History".
