Extremely rare 1860s cased bleeding and cupping set fitted in a mahogany case. Includes the original brass ten blade mechanical bleeder, brass blood pumping syringe and three various hand-blown glass bleeder cups with brass valve attachments, which screw into the tops, then attach to the pump.

This set is complete, in excellent vintage condition, and the mechanical bleeder works perfectly. The top layer of wood on the lid is separated about 1/16 of an inch along the back, though I do believe this was done intentionally to allow for expansion of the wood, and is not damage.

The case is mahogany, I believe, and is in very good+ condition. Hinges are tight, locking mechanism works. Also, this set includes its original key, a sight you will not often find.

Case measures 4"h x 8"w x 5 1/2"d when closed.

A rare and beautiful medical antique!
