This fossil nautilus is a paleontology fan's dream; a large ammonite wire-wrapped in sterling silver, & a sterling silver necklace chain. Ammonites were cephalopod sea creatures that lived many millions of years ago; this specimen is from Morocco. The fossil continues through on the back of the stone.

This ammonite is one of the largest in my shop, at about 3.8 cm (almost 1 1/2 inches) long. The sterling silver curb chain is 20 inches (51 cm) long & ends in a sterling silver lobster clasp.
