Anticipation of spring looms large these days, as it appears to be around the ever elusive corner. The meditation drawings have moved from winter into spring, as water soluble crayons bring touchs of color into each intuitive drawing. Spare and delicate, the meditation drawings are made by letting my hand move across the page...making the marks that want to be made...thinking only through my hands. Color is added in the same way with water soluble crayons...a sense of play and the joy of making are the essence of these meditation drawings. Meditations on spring.

This drawing on Japanese paper is made with pencil and water soluble crayons and then dipped in beeswax. It sewn to another sheet of Japanese paper of the same size for support, through the stitches on the left side and the "x" mark on the lower right. The piece measures approximately 7 1/4"h x 5 1/2"w and will come to you carefully wrapped and ready for you to frame or display as you desire!

Thanks so much for browsing MissouriBendStudio...enjoy!
