Original H. Marshall Gardiner post card from the 1930's.
"Nantuckrome" Published by the Photochrome Process Company,
divided back, unused, mint condition.

Near Steps Beach, overlooking the entrance to the harbor. I have this card as a black & white and as a "Nantuckrome". I've seen it done as a "PHOSTINT", but those are hard to find.

Even harder to find was the location. Much has changed in this part of the island. Only after searching with a friend and then conferring with my brother, Robert, was I able to approximate the view for my "today snapshot" From the porch at 14 Lincoln Ave (I do not encourage trespassing) looking toward the northeast, the large house in the card has been extensively remodeled, the tall house on the left is gone as are the hydrangeas.

Nantucket Hydrangeas, postcard. Gardiner "Nantuckrome"
