**An Honest Word About Our Collars** At the risk of losing some sales, we want to give you some straight talk about our collars so you can make the right purchase for you and your pet. This collar is constructed with Jaquard or embroidered ribbon. Some of the great things about Jaquard ribbon is it is more durable than grosgrain and comes in a variety of colorful designs. The downside of this ribbon is that it is not available in the many Pop Culture designs that grosgrain is, and it is anywhere from 3 to 10 times more expensive. The threads can still snag on toenails, teeth, or low-lying branches, but it takes a lot to unravel them completely. So think for a second about the dog you wish to wear this collar and about how active and rough on their collars they are. Some people only have their pet(s) wear it for special events/occasions/dress-up days. We would rather have a few happy customers than a multitude of less than satisfied customers. A second issue seems to arise because we use lightweight ribbon, which we feel is more comfortable for the dog(s), and that is that sometimes the collars slip out of adjustment and grow larger. Once again, one of our dogs never experiences this problem while it does happen from time to time on the other dog. The 'problem' is easily remedied by removing the collar once the proper length has been determined and grabbing a needle and thread and placing two or three stitches through the doubled over section of the collar, thereby preventing it from going out of adjustment. We hope this will not put you off from purchasing our collars, but rather help you make an informed decision. And please don't forget to check out the other sections of our shop!
