a lesson in taking inspiration wherever if finds you: going in to the bathroom at a bizarre hip-hop night at a dive bar in austin, a woman coming out stopped to comment on my necklace, which i had made for myself out of shrinkydinks [more labor intensive than you'd imagine, let me tell you.] like this one and asked "does that glow in the dark?" no, i replied, but an idea was born: why shouldn't a necklace like this glow in the dark? the answer is that it absolutely should. it absolutely should. especially since i already had glow in the dark paint. and especially if it's a monster, like this one. thank you, lady in the bathroom, for proving to be an unlikely muse.

monster is plastic, 1.25" wide, and his jaw full of angry teeth, with red accent inside mouth drops 3.75". he is hung on a medium-weight sterling silver chain appx. 16.5" long, so the top of his head hangs right at your clavicles.

great for wearing at bars, bowling alleys, and other dark places. also perfect for a casual cool halloween costume--may i suggest all black but for this guy? sure to make a splash at parties!

glow in the dark MONSTER necklace
