CALDAS DA RAINHA is a city located in the centre of Portugal and near the coast. It is home of many arts-related institutions, as the factory of legendary Bordalo Pinheiro.
The city is best known for its hot springs and pottery, which is a glazed ceramic (majolic) shapped like fruits, vegetables, animals.
It is sold in the local market daily, shops in tourist cities of the country, and also abroad in quality houseware stores.
