I have made this multi-colored fabric twine/ rope using fabric scraps in vibrant hues.

It is very unique because the colors will keep on blossoming and changing in each and every yard of yarn. There would be at least 2-4 color changes in each yard of yarn.

The ends are left raw which adds an added touch of handmade charm to this yummy art yarn. The end result of anything you make with it would be absolutely stunning.

I have named it "Sari Fabric Twine" because the beautiful Indian saris are just like that: vibrant, colorful, hot and happening.

I hand twisted this fabric twine using an age old method that my mom taught me. She used to spin yarn on Charkha and knows many homemade techniques.

Unlike other saree ribbon yarns. I have meticulously strips of fabric with my own hands from long sarees, one at a time. Due to its handmade nature, there will be some unevenness which is the beauty of all handmade things. :)

♣ Size ♣
It is a thick n thin art yarn. The width varies between 0.25 inches – 0.5 inches.

How I made it:
I sell fabric in my shop. As a result, I end up with lots of remnant fabrics. This yarn is made from those remnant fabrics.

I machine sewed each ribbon to another ribbon. It is sewed using a zig-zag stitch with white thread. Then I hand twist 2 of these ribbons together to make this twine. It took me a lot of time to make it. But I love to know that I made my own yarn & now you will be able to use my handmade creation to make something beautiful.

I have kept the edges of this yarn raw or unfinished purposely to give it an organic look. I feel it adds a certain mystic & give a wild touch to this art yarn.

It can be used for making jewelry, crocheting, knitting, weaving, scrapbooking, macrame....your imagination is the limit.
