Gorgeous colored plate from a medical text called Essentials of Histology, published in 1974. The image depicts the normal vertebral bone marrow of an adult male. It was borrowed from Bremer and Weatherford: a text-book of histology, New York, 1948, The Blakiston Co. It is signed in the plate by the medical illustrator, H.J.

This medical illustration could easily be mistaken for a piece of abstract art. The color scheme is very engaging, in soft, iced sorbet shades of pink, blue, purple, yellow and orange.

The full page measures approximately 7 inches X 10 inches; the graphic portion covers about 4 inches X 6 inches. The paper is glossy; the reverse side is blank. The condition is excellent, with perfect corners, but ever so slight darkening at the edges. This piece is ready to frame.

The illustration will ship between sheets of sturdy cardboard, to ensure its safe transit. Please contact me for overseas or expedited shipping charges.
