Check Out This Gorgeous Steel Engraved Map Of Düsseldorf Germany Back In 1906.

Dusseldorf is the capital city of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and center of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region.

Dusseldorf is an important international business and financial center and renowned for it's fashion and trade fairs.
Culturally, Dusseldorf is known for its academy of fine arts, it's influence on early electronic music and its large Japanese community. As a city by the river Rhine, Düsseldorf is a stronghold for Rhenish carnival celebrations. Every year in July more than 4.5 million people visit the city's Largest Fair on the Rhine funfair.

Even though only the seventh most populous city in Germany by population within city limits, Dusseldorf is one of the country's five global cities. The Mercer's 2009 Quality of Living survey of cities with the highest quality of life ranked Dusseldorf sixth worldwide and first in Germany.

If you ever find yourself traveling back in time and find yourself on the streets and railways of beautiful Dusseldorf back in 1906, you'll be able to navigate your way around the city's streets, parks, public buildings and Railroad lines with grace and ease!

This original map from 1906 is illustrated in yummy soft pastel colors; all done in those gorgeous shades of Carnation Pinks and Aquas that early mapmakers loved so much, with lettering done in German in a beautiful Gutenburg calligraphy text.

The lovely satin-finished antique map measures 6.25" x 9.25" and is blank on the reverse side. '1906 Map Of Dusseldorf Germany' is printed on heavy paper stock and is in wonderful antique condition; the paper is smooth, clean and condition, without tanning, wrinkles, foxing or flaw.... a real vintage gem.

Matted, framed and displayed as a gallery grouping, these wonderful old Edwardian maps are simply spectacular. (Please note that the framed examples in the last photo are to show how this might look when it's framed. Your map will come unframed.)
