Black paint on sandpaper. I love the use of sandpaper as a foundation for a painting.

When I purchased this, I only saw interesting squiggles. Once I got it home and looked at it from several feet away, I was surprised to see a man and woman very plainly. To me they appear angst ridden, I can even see that the man is bald on top. Hmm...what do you see?

The sandpaper has been glued to matte, a bit of old glue shows on some of the edges. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Since it was glued, there is a slight warping which occured when the glue dried. To me it is part of the texture and overall look of the piece, I have tried to capture it in the photos. If more photos are requested, I will supply them.

This is unsigned, but came from a collection of work by Lee Jennings (see our other listing for a signed piece by him).
