Dimensions

Pendant height: 1.75 Inches

This unique mother goddess pendant necklace would delight any summer gardener or nature lover who also appreciates colorful boho jewelry. It features a beautiful artisan-made goddess polyclay pendant that has been stamped with a symbolic diety image and adorned with cheerful garden blossoms, including pink roses. The styling of the goddess recalls ancient artifacts of the maternal diety (mother goddess), and her impression is colored in a warm brown. The body of the pendant is teardrop shaped and a tan salmon color. This is a sturdily made focal, 1.75 inches in length and very eye-catching.

To celebrate this wonderful garden goddess, I selected the following:
• Mykonos ceramic beads (made in Greece) in orange washers and lime and hot purple tubes and washers.
• Bayong wooden beads (8mm)
• Pewter protective eye ("evil eye") round beads
• Pewter daisy spacers, smooth spacer barrels, and central ornate tube bead
• Dark brown deerskin lace leather (made in the USA)
• Large stainless steel jump ring

The necklace's deerskin leather lace is soft and supple, and measures 1/8 of an inch in width. I used adjustable slipknots, leaving a tail on either end and ornamenting it with more Greek beads. I also added two 2-strand tassels for an extra touch of fun. These tassels are held on with lark's head knots, to which I added a tiny daub of quality glue. Please note that the slipknots are not glued, due to the nature of this kind of leather. If the knots begin to loosen, simply tighten, using the beaded free tail end.

Below you will find a section on how to adjust the length of the necklace. In my photos, I've also included an infographic using a leather necklace with a different pendant. I will include an instruction sheet with your purchase as well. If you have any questions, feel free to inquire. I'll be happy to help!

A lovely inspirational boho nature piece, this mother goddess necklace was handmade beaded by me with care, thought, and best wishes for its destined wearer. It comes nicely wrapped in an eco-friendly box, all ready for gift giving to anyone who adores the natural world, loves gardening, and/or appreciates the mother goddess—perhaps you!

How to Adjust Necklace Length

Please note that the slipknots do not move. Each knot is tied around a leather strand, and it is the strand that moves, passing through the knots, making the necklace adjustable in size.

• To shorten the necklace, hold one knot (right or left) and gently pull upward on its corresponding back strand, where the neck section is. Then do the same on the other side, with the opposite knot and back strand. Shortening will increase the double-stranded neck section, and shorten the front single-strand section.

• To lengthen the necklace, hold one knot (right or left) and gently pull downward on its corresponding front strand. Then do the same on the other side, with the opposite knot and front strand. The doubled strands that rest at the back of the wearer's neck will thus be shortened, and the single strands at the front will be lengthened.

The necklace length is set at 29 inches, including the pendant (1.75 inches long) and connector section (1.25 inches long). The necklace can be shortened by about 6 inches. It can be lengthened by about 7.5 inches. If you increase the length, be sure to leave at least an inch of the double back strands so that you easily grip the short strands with your fingers if you want to re-shorten the necklace later on.

I like to ship quickly, usually 1 or 2 days after payment unless it's a weekend or holiday. Please ensure your shipping address is current.

U.S. ORDERS: I ship USPS First Class w/Tracking. If you want to purchase insurance or upgrade, please contact me.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: After many years of shipping internationally, I am temporarily ceasing such shipments.

However, if you live outside the U.S. and would like to buy something, contact me. I will do what I can to help. Be aware that any tariffs, customs fees, and surcharges are paid by the buyer.

Note that shipping is now very costly for USPS First Class International, which is what I would normally use. Also, if you live in the EU, I do not have GDPR policies at the moment.
I sincerely want you to be happy with your purchase.

Returns are accepted if you contact me within 7 days after delivery to you. I expect to receive the item no later than 2 weeks after delivery. If this timeframe is problematic for you, contact me before buying. Also, I do allow extensions for special holidays such as Christmas and Valentine's Day, as some people buy early, me included!

For All Items: I will refund for the purchase price minus original shipping cost.

You are responsible for return shipping with tracking (U.S.). Items should be in their original condition, with the original wrapping and packing materials. Extra items, like jewelry cards, gift bags, boxes, freebies, should be included.
Non-receipt: I will do my very best to help you if items go astray. Tracking provides information on the item's routing to its destination, and I always ship directly from the post office rather than relying on postal pick-up. Again, please be sure that your shipping address is CURRENT.

Damage: I pack orders well to minimize any problem in this area. However, if your purchase arrives damaged, contact me immediately. I will do my very best to help.
I accept PayPal and Etsy Payments. Please be aware that even if you are not a member of PayPal, you can securely use it to pay for your purchase with a major credit card.

Payment must be made within 24 hours of purchase or the order will be cancelled.

To Rhode Islanders: Sorry to say, but by law I must apply 7% sales tax to your purchase and pass it on to "the governor."

Buyers from other states may also be charged state sales tax. In this case, your tax payment is determined and handled by Etsy, not me.
Yes, I am always happy to accept a custom order! Whether or not I require a deposit, full amount, or neither will depend on the nature of the order. I have done a number of such orders elsewhere with no deposit or purchase required, as I knew I could simply add those items to my inventory if the customer decided not to purchase. (Customers always did purchase them, though.) I always show photos of custom orders to the customer.
If you are buying a gift for someone and have used that person's address for shipping, please let me know at the time of ordering - I will be happy to include a complimentary notecard in which is written whatever message you would like to send.

Of course, I am always happy to send to that person's address. Just please make sure it is CURRENT. Thank you!
