Item details

Handmade

This is a 1 inch wide strap end for Mandolin strap. The connecting ring is brass-plated and the optional strap adjustment buckle. The strap end body is black with purple stitching and no leather is involved, it is all synthetic materials. The strap ends are all hand-cut and hand-assembled.

Shown here are the strap ends for an electric ukulele where the jack plugs into the base. The first customer for these, Karen H., had this to say of the strap ends, specifically:

"The strap ends are amazing! Perfect fit. On easy and off easy but not where my instruments are at any risk of dropping"

And in general, prior to the final design:

"I did try to take one apart because I wanted to see if maybe I can get it to work with a pick up button and it did not come apart. And I am an expert at deconstruction."

(The first model was not cut for the button mount at the base and Karen tried to modify it on her own and wound up demonstrating the strength of the ends)

And the final image shows the button hole for the base of the electric ukulele. Of note here is what looks like a ridge. The “head” of the strap end is folded over to secure the connecting loop and to make the rest of the strap end just the right thickness so the strap end goes on the ukulele smoothly and is a secure fit
