Kill Devil Hill - Wright Brothers - Topo Map - Original Watercolor Charcoal Drawing with Patina and Coffee Stain on Map

This is a one of a kind original made by myself. The drawing is of the Wright brothers with one of their early prototype gliders. There is a quotation from one of the brother in the upper right corner that reads "I have some pet theories as to the proper construction of a flying machine..." It is made with a xerox transfer to give a rough layout of the shapes, then redrawn and combined with ink, charcoal, coffee, colored pencil, and patina made with scraps of copper to and steel give that antique feel. It is made on a vintage topographic map from Michigan. I have gone back into parts of the map to enhance or embellish certain qualities, like adding the red dashed lines for example.
Custom sizes and images are welcome and available upon request.
Please note that this item is made to order. I do my best to create images as you see them, but each piece is an original and one of a kind, so there will be subtle variations from the image you see, as there is a degree of chance operation to the process. I offer a full refund in case you are not completely satisfied with what you receive, and can send you a photo of the completed item before it ships.
Please allow up to 10 business days for production time.
